Harold Spivey is the founder and lead instructor of Family Home Defense Tactics, bringing a lifelong passion for firearms, safety, and responsible ownership to every class he teaches. A certified Range Safety Officer (RSO) and USCCA-certified firearms instructor, Harold has dedicated himself to equipping everyday people with the knowledge and confidence they need to protect themselves, their families, and their communities.
Harold’s love for firearms began early in life and grew into a deep commitment to education and safety. He believes that responsible gun ownership starts with proper training, and that every person deserves access to quality instruction — whether they are picking up a handgun for the first time or looking to sharpen skills they already have.
Rooted in Christian faith, Harold founded Home Defense Tactics on the values of service, integrity, and care for others. That spirit extends beyond the range — offering courses in emergency first aid, mass casualty response, and life-saving techniques, because Harold understands that true preparedness goes beyond the firearm.

What You'll Learn
We will be training you on firearms. The 4 universal safety rules, how to load and unload your firearm safely, how to properly grip the firearm, how to use your sights, basic marksmanship fundamentals on target, how to control recoil, proper stance and aiming a gun.
